c1890 orchestral bass
Attributed to the workshop of Louis Lowenthal by Neville Whitehead, this fine german-made instrument has been in use in orchestras in Sydney and is only now offered for sale.
A very attractive round-back double bass, with beautiful golden brown varnish and generous proportions, suitable for orchestral use. It has a Fawcett mechanical extension in good order, which can easily be removed if desired.
