Fully carved German roundback double bass circa 1950 formerly owned and played by Dieter Vogt. A really great workhorse, lovely tone and punch and a convenient shorter string length making it a delight to play. Recently overhauled in our workshop.
Dieter Vogt was a jazz bassist who moved to Sydney, Australia in the 1970s, and passed away in June 2023. Dieter played with Bob Barnard And Friends, Col Nolan Quartet, Daly-Wilson Big Band, Graeme Bell Reunion Band, Julian Lee Orchestra, Keith Hounslow's Jazzmakers, Keith Hounslow's Quartet, The Nolan-Buddle Quartet, The Savannah Junkmen.
